About Laura Riem

15 years of experience dedicated to the well-being of wild and domestic animals

I bring over fifteen years of experience to my clients and partners, devoted to studying behavior and learning across various animal species, complemented by certifications in zoo animal care, cynology and animal nutrition.

My Approach

My approach to working with animals is ethical and interdisciplinary.
It is grounded in hands-on experience, science, and collaboration among professionals. It aims to promote respectful and cooperative practices between humans and animals.

My goal is to help practices evolve toward meaningful and lasting well-being—for animals as well as for humans: providing tailored support for each individual, fostering harmonious human–animal relationships, and strengthening the quality of their daily interactions.

I work across behavioral and nutritional dimensions while promoting the sharing of experience, the development of skills and the expansion of knowledge among both professionals and private owners.

My Background

I first graduated as a zoo animal keeper (MFR Carquefou, France) and worked primarily as an animal caretaker and trainer with various species, especially, marine mammals and birds. I also worked as a marine wildlife guide and contributed to marine animal rehabilitation programs.

I then gained several years of experience in team management and development within the zoological sector. This period, rich both personally and professionally, allowed me to cultivate the style of leadership that matters to me, one based on trust, communication and valuing each person’s strengths.

More recently, I expanded my areas of expertise by becoming a certified instructor in canine education (MEC – FRC, Switzerland) and completing a diploma in canine and feline nutrition (Southern Illinois University, U.S.A.), enabling me to support companion animals in additional essential aspects of their well-being.

Today, I bring all my experience and knowledge to the service of animals, whether domestic or wild.

My work is guided by a personalized, ethical and respectful approach, rooted in attentive listening, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the needs of every individual, group, animal and human alike.
